The nation’s second largest DSL ISP has rolled out its own super-fast broadband service in Victoria across its own hybrid-fibre coaxial (HFC) network.

iiNet's network will deliver speeds of up to 100 megabits per second to customers in Geelong, Mildura and Ballarat.

iiNet’s Chief Executive Officer, Michael Malone, said the launch of the service came about following collaboration and integration with TransACT.

"TransACT built and launched the network in 2010 and since that time, customers in Geelong, Mildura and Ballarat have enjoyed some of the fastest speeds available in Australia. We've been working to integrate TransACT's network into the iiNet family as fast as we can so we can open up HFC services to even more customers," Mr Malone said.

Broadband plans on the new network start from $49.95 per month and are available across four speeds, 12/1 Mbps, 25/5 Mbps, 50/8 Mbps and 100/8 Mbps.
