Are you an experienced and highly motivated web and digital communications specialist, seeking an exciting change that which will provide you with the opportunity to lead a diverse and challenging range of projects in a leading inner city council.

An exciting opportunity exists at the City of Stonnington to promote a positive, favourable and accessible image of Council and that will directly impact the local residents, ratepayers, visitors, businesses and stakeholders. As Web and Digital Communications Project Manager, you will maintain Council’s website, digital communications and intranet to ensure the timeliness and accuracy of information, accessibility, and usability in line with community needs. Additionally, you will ensure the continual development of Council’s website, intranet and social media channels to ensure responsiveness to changing community needs and expectations, and the use of relevant emerging technologies that encourage interaction and online service delivery.

We have a number of large scale projects being undertaken by this position including the redevelopment of the City of Stonnington website and a review of Council’s employer brand.

As the successful applicant you will possess extensive demonstrated experience in a communications environment and a strong working knowledge and demonstrated experience using content management systems to maintain websites and implementation of digital technologies, including social media, to enhance communications. Additionally, you will have excellent project management and web writing skills as well as interpersonal/verbal communication skills for training and web support. Your ability to develop and execute digital campaigns (digital communications, online marketing, social media, and search engine optimisation) to enhance communication and consultation, and to develop and coordinate Council’s EDMs will assist in your success in this position.
